JORD wood watch review

As you saw in my previous posts, I try to add now and than other themes to my blog, besides nail art. I showed you recipes, jewelry’s and today I am going to show you a special watch. When JORD reached out for me and asked if I want to try one of their watches, I was thrilled and very excited. First I was curious about the brad and I am sure some of you do not know about it, so I am going to mention a few facts about it. JORD watches are hand-crafted wood timepieces that tell a story are designed for people who don’t just have somewhere to be, but somewhere to go, as the product website describes. The trendy looking watches are made from natural wood with a diverse selection of automatic, mechanical, tourbillion, and quartz movements. JORD offers several designs for man and women too. These watches are Shock resistant, accurate, and built for durability.

I like to wear wristwatches even if today’s technology offers a lot of new products on the market that replaces it. In my opinion a classic wristwatch is timeless and even if most of the people are not wearing them for their functionality these days, they are beautiful accessories. A classy and elegant watch on the wrist communicates a lot about each person’s style!

JORD let me chose from three watches and I liked very much the design of the Zebrawood &Maple watch from the Fieldcrest series. I was very excited to try it.

I received my watch very quickly in a wooden box which is effective and very beautiful too. In October I have my 40th birthday and this watch came like a gift for me. The wooden box is a perfect gift box! The watch was elegantly put around a pillow along with additional links if the watch size don’t matches my wrist perfectly. But before sending it out, JORD Watches customized and sized the band to fit without any problem.

What I liked the most about this watch: it is very light and comfortable; the design is stylish and classy; the wood wristband is flawless and smooth; the closing clasp is easy to use and offers security.

I made a manicure to match my amazing new watch. My first instinct was to make a design that matches the pattern of the wooden wristband, but I know that many already did it, so I was inspired by the name of this watch and made a nature inspired/zebra nail art. I used two polishes Models Own - Trillion Taupe and ASTRA - Romantic Italian Colours #92.

I have to mention that I am usually allergic to some of the wrist bands of the watches that are made from synthetic components, and I know that I am not alone, because my best friend has the same problem. This is why my watch needs to have leather or in this case a wooden wrist band. Using this watch on a daily basis I was pleasantly surprised that no rash appeared on my wrist! I can recommend this watch to any other person with these problems!

Now I am curious, do you like to wear wrist watches?

The love for green can not end!

I can not put aside the bright and vibrant colors for me summer is not over. Today I show you a gradient with a little bit of sparkle and a simple animal print on it.

I used for my mani Models Own - Toxic Apple which you can see is an extremely bright green shade and I combined it with a pale yellow polish from Le petit Cliche - Copacabana. I liked the gradient but I thought to add a little bit of sparkle to it with the beautiful Flormar #392.

I felt like something is missing, this is why I added on two of my nails a simple animal print.

How do you like it better, with or without the animal print?

Have a great day and weekend!

Peacock feather

For a while back I made a manicure with a Born Pretty Store stamping plate that you can find here and Pia, the owner of the blog Polishlover asked me to make a nail art with the peacock feather on it.

I took out my beloved ILNP - Neon Rosebud and an old duo-chrome polish from L'Oreal and used the BPS stamping plate BP75 and the MoYou London Pro XL Collection - 05 plate to make the peacock feather nails.  Your going to ask me, were did I used the duo-chrome polish? Well underneath the actual feather, but the black stamping polish is so pigmented that unfortunately it is not visible :(

How do you like this nail art? I am not very satisfied with the result, but at least I used the wonderful ILNP polish again :)

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!

Blog anniversary and a green manicure

Hello ladies. How are you today?

I have a very simple double stamped nail art today with green polishes. I hope you will like it as I did, it's simple and fresh looking because of the shades. One of the polishes I used is Lovely Summer Sand Nr.6 that I bought on my summer trip. I love this yellow/green toned shade that is full with tiny green glitter particles that give the sand like effect. The second green polish is Berry M. Gelly Hi-Shine - Watermelon which is a deep green shade with a shimmer of sea greens.
The stamping pattern is from the Image Plate MoYou London Pro XL Collection - 05.

Today my blog turns 4! When I started to write for the first time I never thought that I will succeed or that someone will like my work! I didn't known how to make a blog to look great, or the general rules of blogging, I just knew that I want to share my passion with other people who have the same hobby. And boy, I am so glad that I did it, and with ups and downs, with almost 1 year of bad health experience and leaving my blog, I had the power to come back and make what I like the most, sharing my nail designs! I want to thank all of you, my dear readers for sticking with me through the years. I know one thing for sure, without you ladies, I wouldn’t be here and write for my 4th blog-anniversary! Thank you very much!

I don't have for today any surprise for you, but regarding that next month I will have my 40th birthday too, I have a big surprise for all of you on my sleeves. I won't tell much more now, just follow my post's and at the end of this month you will see my surprise.

Have a great day!

Born Pretty Store lace stamping plate

Today I am going to make a review for a stamping plate, BP-L020 that was on my wishlist from the moment it appeared on the Born Pretty Store site. Lovely Tina was so kind and she sent it to me, an now I can tell you my opinion about it.

I made two manicures, the first is not so great and the second one is my absolute favorite one.

For the first one I used a nude polish from Avon - ColoTrend - Rare and I stamped the flower lace pattern on two of my nails, using just a simple transparent base coat and the black Born Pretty Store stamping polish. For a more elegant effect I added two rectangular shaped silver studs on the lace pattern.

The second manicure is more colorful and fun looking one. I used a pale nude/orange shade from Astor - Bridal's Bouquet #102 as my stamping and dot base and I combined it with the wonderful vibrant textured orange shade from FOA - Mango Slurpee. I love the final result a lot.

All in all this stamping plate became my absolute favorite one from all I have in my collection, the lace patterns are very versatile and elegant one, many interesting nail designs can be done with it, even for weddings too. I think all of you already know it, but I am going to repeat myself, the plate is very well carved in, all the patterns transfer very well on the nails. I like very much that the Born Pretty Store made for each of the new stamping plates a very trendy and stylish cardboard cover, this way the plate is safe at transportation and why not, after each use.

If you like the stamping plate you can find it here, and now it is on SALE, don't miss the occasion to get it. I recommend it to all of you who like elegant nail designs. If you purchase anything from the Born Pretty Store, you're welcome to use my discount code from bellow.

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!
