Maybelline NY - Vivid Hot Lacquer

My today's post is a mixed one because I want to show you, besides the manicure I made a lip lacquer that I recently received for review from L'OREAL Romania. The product I am talking about is:  Maybelline NY - Vivid Hot Lacquer.

The brand launched seven pigmented and super glossy shades that are perfect for this summer, if you like HOT looking lips. I will show you today the deep red shade - 72 Classic.

The lip lacquer has a great applicator and a creamy consistency that last quite long on the lips. I applied the formula with it's own applicator and I obtained a high glossy finish and I can say that my lips were not overwhelmed, they felt light and not very sticky. But as I am a fan of matte lipsticks, I thought to apply it with a lip brush and I simply loved the suede effect I obtained. So, my opinion is that this lip lacquer is very versatile, you can go for a soft finish by applying it with a lip brush and if you like the hot and sexy look than you can go for the full coverage and glossy finish using the applicator.

As a conclusion, this product has a big plus from me for it's ultra saturated, intense pigmented color and for it's fantastic and very versatile formula!

As about my nail art, I didn't wanted to put on my nails just a simple color that matches this lip lacquer, I made a fluid marble nail art that I have recently saw on other girls. It's a messy job, but the effect is interesting and it looks artistic. Actually it's an easy technique: you put a bigger amount of different colored nail polishes on a silicone stamping head, you move it and push it until you obtain the wished fluid marble effect that you like.  After it dries you can apply it on the nails. Cut down the excess and finish it with a top coat. Maybe I didn't choose the perfect colors that match the lip lacquer but I like the nail art it came out.

How do you like the nail art? How about the lip lacquer? Do you own any Vivid Hot Lacquers? Can you recommend me other shades?

Summer nail art

In my last post I told you all about the event I attended, the Beauty Blogger Meeting Summer Edition, but I didn't showed you my manicure. The theme of the event was summer and we had to were outfits that will look good on Instagram. Well, I don't know about my outfit if it was worth showing it on Instagram, but I sure liked my manicure.

Even if I am not a big red nail polish fan, I decided to were read because my clothing was black and white with blue stripes. It was a summer party, so I choose to add on my nails some summer themed water decals and I made my pedicure too, the same way.

It was a pop off color on me and the girls who observed it gave me compliments. I can say that I enjoyed wearing read and I am slowly changing my opinion about this feminine color :)
How do you like my work? Does it look like a summer nail art or not?

Beauty Blogger Meeting - Summer Edition

Those of you who read my blog frequently know that I usually post about events that I participate or about my travels and even cosmetics, jewelry or clothes. Today's post is about a wonderful event I was invited in my hometown Cluj, Beauty Bloggers Meeting - Summer Edition. Yes, we usually meet once a year, but the beautiful AncaGabrielaJulia and Cleo the organizers of this event, thought that we should meet more often and talk about our common hobby.

The event took place in a unique looking house, called Etc Studio, which is a vintage show room with antique objects that can be bought by any visitor. Each room was different and special, full with artistic objects: a library room, a travel-themed room, refurbished wardrobes and even a motorcycle are included in the house. All of us felt so good in this fantastic atmosphere and took a lot of photos.

We all set down and talked about blogging, social media issues and in between we were tasting from the fine food plates prepared especially for us by Condiment Catering and sweets that looked like little pieces of art, made by Dulciuri cu Suflet. I was totally in love with the mini muffins and mouses I tried and from now on I know were to turn when I need a special and delicious cake.

You all know that I am very implicated when it comes to a health lifestyle, so I was glad to see a Transylvanian natural product manufacturer called Vaida who was present and showed us some natural face scrubs, hair treatment products and oils from different seeds and plants that can be consumed with salads or even as a face care product. I was pretty impressed by the taste of a cold pressed parsley oil, that I tasted for the first time in my life and soon I am going to buy one and tell you more details about it.

The house had a big garden in the backyard, were our fantastic organizers thought to set up a Lemonade bar thanks to Arome Healthy Bar. All afternoon long I felt refreshed drinking minty and classic lemonade. In the same time outside were waiting for us some cool looking scooters by Vintage Scooter Garage. We took the opportunity and made fun photos with them. Sincerely, I would have tried them too :))

At the end of the event the girls gave me a goodie bag with NYX and Kiehl's products. I already testing them :)

Thanks for all the partners: NYX, Kiehl's, Etc Studio, Vintage Scooter Garage, Condiment Catering, Arome Healthy Bar, Casa Vaida, Florissima, Dulciuri cu Suflet, Alist Magazine.

Thanks Raresworld Photography for the great photos!

I want to express my sincere appreciation to the organizers of this event Anca, Gabriela, Julia and Cleo, who put a lot of effort and love to this meeting and thanks to them I felt magnificent and I am already anxious for our next meet up!

Stamping plate holder

Today I am going to show you a useful plate holder that I received from the Born Pretty Store for review. I already own a plate holder for round stamping plates, I showed you here, but my collection of rectangular plates is getting bigger and this holder was much needed. I stored my plates in the cardboard sleeves, the one with the products are shipped, but when I needed one particular plate to use for a manicure I had to take out all of them to seek for the one I wish to use. This is why I like plate holders, the inner sleeves where the plates fit in are almost transparent, made of soft plastic and the plate patterns are visible without taking them out. Problem solved :) The exterior dimension is perfect for most of the plates  I own (12.5cm x 6.5cm) and it is made of a bright pink PVC material and has a safe snap closure. In the sleeves fit 20 plates in but you can use two in one sleeve and than you can store much more.

This product is a great solution for does of you who have many stamping plates and as you can see it is a very stylish and handy object that can be stored anywhere!

If you like it, you can order it here, and don't forget you can use my discount code from bellow, for a 10% off of your purchase! Just visit the Born Pretty Store site.

Inspired by

Hello ladies, how are you today? I am trying to come back with some nail art, but I totally lost my mood, inspiration...and nails too. I had to file my nails down to very short ones, because they broke almost daily. I hope they will grow fast and with it will come my inspiration too.

My today's nail art was inspired by the amazing, very skilled and talented Maria, the owner of sonailicious. She made a beautiful Japanese style nail art that I fell in love with and had to make it on my own nails. I added in this nail art a little bit of my touch, I used 3 nail polish colors instead of 2 and finished my mani with a matte top coat by Catrice. I hope you like the result, it is a summer nail art that is easy to make and draws the attention.

I wish you all a fantastic weekend!
