Inspired by a bracelet

Today's manicure was inspired by a bracelet that I feel in love with instantly, it's a bright colored stone effect one. My surprise was when I couldn't find in my stash any nail polish that would match perfectly this piece. Maybe time has come to buy some new nail polishes 😋 The closest shade that matched the bracelet was Maybelline - Hooked on pink (212) and I combined it with the beautiful  Zoya - Pixie Dust - Dhalia. I made the stone effect with the help of a water based marker and a little bit of cleaner.

The stone effect is not as beautiful and accurate that on the bracelet but I like very much the polish combination. I am curious about your opinion about this nail art.

One week long I will be on a trip but after that I will come back with some reviews because as you have may noticed on my Instagram page @funandi I received some new nail art goodies. If you would like to see where I am travelling, you're welcome to follow my other IG account: @manasesandrea_photo

Have a great Sunday and thanks for stopping buy!

Maybelline - The Colossal Big Shot

As you may noticed in the title, I am going to have a mixed post today. I have a nail art and besides that I tested the new Maybelline - The Colossal Big Shot mascara that I have received for review.

I have to say that I am always seeking mascaras that lengthen my lashes and this is why I was super anxious and curious to see if this new product will work for me. As you will see in the pictures the packaging of this product is bright and gold that certainly will caught your attention in any store.

The size of the wand is medium and holds the perfect amount of formula needed for the lashes. The color of it is dark black and fully coats the lashes in a few moves. The most impressive thing was that my lashes were not full with clumps, they were fluttery and looked natural. So, if you need a mascara that does not overwhelm your lashes and it lengthens them, The Colossal Big Shot is for you!

And now my nail art. I didn't made for such a long time matte nails and looking through my stash saw this pretty Golden Rose nail polish that was almost forgotten and used at least once. So I had to apply it to my nails and I combined it with a P2 glitter bomb. I like how my nails turned out.

I hope you liked my mixed post and just tell me if you already have the Maybelline Colossal Big Shot mascara and what is your opinion about it.
Thanks for stopping by.

Sand nail powder review

Today I want to show you a very nice nail art product. I am talking about a pastel multicolored sand powder that can be used with classic nail polishes and even with UV nail products too. It is from the Born Pretty Store site and besides this multicolored one you will find 3 other colored ones too, HERE

I used the powder as an accent nail in my manicure and added on a pink base with the help of a fan brush, before it dried completely. The effect of the powder came out matte with a lovely sparkle and has a very fine texture. At the Born Pretty Store site, in the description of the product it is mentioned that it can be sealed with a top coat, but I tried it and I didn't liked the effect of it. I prefer it textured.

I tried it on a UV soak-off gel polish too and it looks better when it is used before curing and not after it. So, use this powder after you apply a color base (cure it), than apply one layer of top coat and place the sand powder on it and than cure it. For the textured effect don't use any top coat again.

I hope you like this product as I do, it comes in a small 10 ml box and if you use it carefully than it last for several manicures. Check it out HERE and if you buy any products from the site use my bellow seen discount code.

Water-marble stamping plate

Hello ladies. I don't know how much of you like water-marble nails but the technique makes you problems or you don't like the mess that comes with it. I am one of them and this is why I found the perfect plate that imitates the water-marble effect. The plate is form the Born Pretty Store and you can find it HERE

I made two manicures with it and I am already anxious to make new ones because I simply love all the patterns on it. The plate works very good but I had some issues at my first mani. It was an extremely hot day when I made my nails and I didn't had the quickest moves to apply the pattern on them, the transfer was not as sharp as I wished and on top of everything I smudged it with the top coat :( At the second mani everything worked perfectly.

I am super curious which mani you like better and if you own this magnificent plate or not? If you don't, just check it out on the Born Pretty Store site HERE because it is on SALE now! The blue stamping nail polish is from the same site and you can find it HERE. You're welcome to use my bellow seen discount code for any of your purchase.
